Hi there! I'm Safayat Hossain, Chemistry Student | Aspiring Scientist | Research Enthusiast | Environmental Activist

Chemistry major seeking a degree in Physical Organic Chemistry, Green Chemistry, Nanochemistry or Polymer Chemistry with dedication and ambition. I am capable of designing experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting scientific findings with a track record of effectively communicating scientific concepts and synthesizing complicated ideas.

I am committed to helping the science of chemistry progress and passionate about scientific research, especially in the field of green chemistry and eager to work in partnership with experts and researchers to advance knowledge and create original answers to contemporary problems. I always try to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in my daily life to make our world more green, sustainable and livable.

My networking and professional development are facilitated by my scientific affiliations with ACS, RSC, MRS, ECS, WYFS etc. I want to meet more like-minded people who share my interests, grow my scientific network, and keep up with emerging ideas in research and business trends. Let's have thoughtful debates, share our views, and motivate one another to advance professionally. Ongoing Projects

  1. Currently I am a thesis student now working on the "Biomass husk-derived porous carbon/CuO-binary composite in-situ for high-performance supercapacitor electrode materials" research to meet both SDGs 7 & 12 simultaneously and many more, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Md. Monirul Islam (Respected Supervisor), Department of Chemistry.
  2. I am also working as a research assistant on a review article titled "Next-Generation2D Materials for High-Performance Flexible Supercapacitors" under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Dulal Chandra Kabiraz, Department of Chemistry, in collaboration with Dr RamGupta and Dr Mazeyar Parvinzadeh Gashti, Department of Chemistry, Pittsburg State University, USA.

  1. During my undergraduate study, I obtained my teaching experience as a chemistry tutor (supplementary instructor or teaching assistant) in a tutoring centre where I taught general chemistry topics. 
  2. I have been in charge of Content coordinator at "Shabash Fakibaj (সাবাস ফাঁকিবাজ™ LLC)" , a multinational educational organization that conveys information on graduate studies abroad to undergraduate students.
