Core Values
About the GCTLC
The Green Chemistry Teaching and Learning Community (GCTLC) was borne out of a need for an online space for members of the green chemistry education community to network, collaborate, share resources, receive mentorship, learn from one another, and support each other in the ongoing transformation of the education system. A collaborative effort between Beyond Benign and the American Chemical Society (ACS) Green Chemistry Institute, the GCTLC is intended to be a supportive and nurturing community of teachers, educators, faculty, students, industry stakeholders, and anyone with an interest in green chemistry education to share, connect, learn, and grow. As a community, we are driven by a desire to create transformative change in the education system by increasing the breadth and depth of the integration of green chemistry across all levels of teaching and learning. Our shared philosophy statement is our collective call to action in this regard, and our GCTLC Code of Conduct provides the basis for interaction and engagement on the platform.
Ultimately our goal is to create a strong sense of belonging for all, driven by the mission, vision and core values outlined above. We look forward to working with you to continue to grow and nurture our professional family, and we welcome you to your new online community space. Please make yourself at home.
