Adele Mastroyannis

I am currently a high school teacher in Science and Mathematics, and completing my PhD in Marine Biotechnology with a green chemistry focus. My project is extracting South Australian Brown algae polyphenols with antioxidant activity for anti-aging skin health products. My knowledge stems from bioprocessing of brown algae, analysis of compounds, and dermal delivery systems for skin care. I am an advocate for green and sustainable skin health products and currently completing a Diploma in Cosmetic formulation to move towards my goal of commercialisation. My passion also leads into the education space, with a driven nature to promote green chemistry and be a leader of change in the Australian setting.
