Bio
A green & sustainable researcher and educator. Program lead for chemistry and medicinal chemistry in Queen's University Belfast. I teach at all levels of undergraduate and graduate studies. I am interested in using organometallic catalysts, biocatalysts and ionic liquids to perform greener chemistry and sustain a cleaner, healthier environment. The blue economy is a strong focus of our research, and we are engaged in catalytic methods to valorize marine biomass and protect and clean marine & freshwater environments. I'm an associate editor of ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering.
