Bio

Christiana Briddell is the Communications Portfolio Manager for the ACS Office of Sustainability and Green Chemistry Institute. Christiana Briddell received a B.S. with honors in Environmental Science from Dickinson College in 2001 and a M.A. in Communication from Johns Hopkins University in 2016. After many years working in digital marketing and online education platforms, she joined the ACS Green Chemistry Institute team in 2012. As the Communication Portfolio Manager, she works to promote green chemistry and engineering adoption globally as a key tool in achieving a sustainable future.

Ongoing Projects

  • We are launching the Green Chemistry for Sustainability platform as a complimentary site to GCTLC geared toward professionals driving innovation and research. Green Chemistry for Sustainability will provide access to a toolkit of community-submitted resources; information about the interconnected fields of green chemistry, green engineering, and sustainability; and allow for connections between potential collaborators around the world. 
  • The Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference is our annual conference that provides a community venue for the latest research, case studies, and training opportunities. Plus, it's a lot of fun! 
  • We just published a report on Reimagining Sustainable Chemistry Education and are publishing Green Chemistry Teaching Modules for Organic and General Chemistry ongoingly. My colleague on this platform David Laviska is point on that. 
  • We also run a Summer School for graduate students, have a number of teaching awards and student awards for green chemistry.
