Bio

I earned a BS in Chemical Engineering with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics from Ohio University (Athens, OH) in 1998. Following my undergraduate studies, I earned a PhD in Analytical/Atmospheric Chemistry from the University in Colorado, Boulder in 2004. The title of my PhD thesis was, "Laboratory studies of sulfate aerosols at upper tropospheric and lower stratospheric temperatures and compositions.” I held a series of faculty/staff positions after my postdoctoral appointment at Arizona State University including a Professor of Chemistry position at Concordia University in Portland, OR and the Director of the General Chemistry Laboratories at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Currently, I am an Associate Teaching Professor, the Director of Chemistry Instruction and the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Academic Affairs at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
