Bio
I am an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Saint Louis University with a background in inorganic chemistry, surface chemistry, and chemical education research. I teach Analytical Chemistry 1 lecture and Analytical Chemistry 2 lab for chemistry majors as well as a two-semester general, organic, and biochemistry lecture course for nonmajors (primarily physical therapy students and other pre-health majors). My focus is on improving student learning in STEM through evidence-based teaching practices while also exploring analytical and surface chemistry applications in the laboratory. I earned my Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from University of Notre Dame and have experience spanning both academia and industry. I am passionate about mentoring students, advancing inclusive science education, and helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world scientific problem solving.
