Bio
Shuvasree Ray, Ph.D. is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Portland State University (PSU). She manages curriculum design, lectures, and laboratory coordination for the university's Organic Chemistry program. Her work in educational development includes securing grants to implement adaptive learning platforms aimed at improving student retention and equity in STEM. She is a recipient of the John Eliot Allen Outstanding Teaching Award and holds a Ph.D. in Organic and Supramolecular Chemistry from the University of Miami.
On a national level, Dr. Ray serves as a co-author for the American Chemical Society (ACS) Exams Institute, contributing to national General and Organic Chemistry examinations. At PSU, her service includes chairing the Academic Appeals Board and serving on the Minority Serving Institution Faculty Senate Committee.
