Position Summary

Senior Environmental Chemist

Dow has an exciting opportunity available within our Product Safety Research group that is part of our Toxicology and Environment Research & Consulting (TERC) Team. The location is in Midland, Michigan as this role is aligned to the laboratory where investigative research is conducted to ensure the sustainability of our chemistries. Specifically, we are looking for a Senior Environmental Chemist with experience and training in chemistry, environmental engineering, environmental sciences or a related field.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Electrocatalysis

The Biddinger Group at The City College of New York (CCNY) has a postdoc position for experimental research in electrochemical cycling of liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs) and CO2 electroreduction. The LOHC studies will involve investigation of electrocatalysis, reaction parameter influences and mechanism and kinetics. The CO2 electroreduction work will involve reaction durability investigations. Both projects will require characterization of catalysts and product analyses. These projects involve collaborations with both academic and industry partners.

Postdoctoral Appointee - Catalysis and Polymer Science

Conducts research as part of a multidisciplinary team in chemical recycling of polymers and organometallic catalysis. The project will involve designing, synthesizing, and characterizing new recyclable polymers, and evaluating the thermomechanical properties of these materials. This research program will include studies towards understanding reaction mechanisms through reaction kinetics analysis and other physical organic and inorganic techniques.

Position Requirements

Research Associate in Green Electrosynthesis

The Sustainable Electrochemistry Group is seeking a Research Associate in electrosynthesis of value-added chemicals, to be funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). You will use a combination of electrochemical, X-ray and infrared spectroscopy techniques to understand the fundamental bottlenecks in the activity and selectivity of catalysts for the electro-oxidation of propene to high value chemicals such as propylene glycol and acrylic acid.

Director of Science and Innovation

We know that our climate goals can only be met by rapidly reducing emissions and removing the carbon that already exists in our atmosphere. Carbon180 is a climate NGO with a vision to remove legacy carbon emissions from the atmosphere and create a livable climate in which current and future generations can thrive. Based in Washington, DC, we design and champion equitable, science-based policies that bring carbon removal solutions to gigaton scale. This position is remote, with the expectation of quarterly travel to Washington, DC.
