Postdoctoral Scholar Instruction, Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar, Instruction position for the Fall 2026 semester. The selected candidate will teach at the undergraduate level, including general chemistry, along with supervision of the associated laboratories with the help of graduate teaching assistants. In addition to general chemistry, the opportunity may arise to teach either analytical or organic chemistry.

Chemistry Lecturer

Louisiana Tech University is hiring for one or more Lecturer positions in Chemistry with a projected start date of September 1, 2026.
The main instructional responsibilities for this position will be General Chemistry, with experience teaching Organic or Physical chemistry lectures or labs a plus. The position may include setting up and teaching labs in the candidate’s area of expertise, including maintenance and care of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Supervision of undergraduate Capstone research students is expected.

Postdoctoral Fellow - Organic/Medicinal Chemistry

The Minbiole group is looking for a postdoc to start in August 2026! The position is half teaching / half research, with courses in organic chemistry and other disciplines, and research in our federally-funded lab that focuses on the construction of quaternary ammonium compounds with antibacterial activity. It's an ideal position for someone interested in teaching at an undergraduate or masters-granting institution.

Abstract: Over the last few years, it has been fun experience for this instructor to test and incorporate Green Chemistry into the lab and lecture. I will provide a summary of the labs, class & safety activities that have turned ‘greener’ while increasing safety for everyone.

Visiting Professor in Organic Chemistry

The Chemistry Program of the Department of Natural Sciences of Pitzer and Scripps Colleges seeks to hire a visiting professor to teach organic chemistry lectures and labs. The position will begin in August 2026. Opportunities to direct undergraduate research projects are also possible. This position is a full-time, 2-year appointment. Rank will be either Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Professor, depending on experience. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field before starting the position; prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Assistant Teaching Professor - Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor position (non-tenure track) to join a community of dedicated educators. This position has renewable, three-year contracts. Our new colleague will teach introductory chemistry lecture and laboratory courses, with opportunities to teach other courses in a range of sub-disciplines.
