Event Description

The annual CLEAR Symposium connects chemistry educators worldwide in a virtual symposium, enhancing laboratory teaching through research. Attend #CLEAR26, an online symposium on laboratory teaching in chemistry, to gain valuable insights from experts in the field! Dr. Monica Soma Hensley, Beyond Benign Higher Education Instruction and Research Manager, is a co-organizer for this year's symposium, which centers on the theme of Sustainability and Green Chemistry. 

Researchers and practitioners are encouraged to share their work on teaching and learning in the chemistry laboratory. All interested individuals are invited to submit a poster for the event that focuses on research, assessment, or evaluation related to laboratory practices.

You will lead the development of global policies, processes and systems to ensure regulatory chemical compliance.

The Project Director, Public Policy, Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals, serves a key role in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing plans to establish and support the successful implementation of permanent and durable policies on a state and federal level aimed at reducing Americans’ exposure to harmful endocrine disrupting chemicals and improving chemical regulation oversight. This role requires expertise in designing and overseeing public policy campaigns, preferably related to health policy, and a proven capacity to achieve impactful results.

The senior manager, state policy, Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals, plays an important role in developing and overseeing the implementation of strategies to achieve project objectives related to the adoption and successful implementation of state policies designed to reduce Americans’ exposure to harmful endocrine disrupting chemicals and lay the groundwork for national action in the future.

The project director, science, endocrine disrupting chemicals, leads a team of approximately three staff focused on synthesizing, communicating, and advancing scientific research on endocrine disrupting chemicals, chemical regulation, and related issues as part of a broader effort to reduce exposure to the most harmful EDCs in the near term while laying the foundation for longer term  reform to prevent additional harmful EDCs from being introduced to the economy and the environment.
