Green Chemistry Commitment Signers

Beyond Benign's Green Chemistry Commitment (GCC) program is a framework to unite the green chemistry higher education community around a common vision to expand the global community of green chemists, grow departmental resources, improve connections to job opportunities, and affect systemic and lasting change in chemistry education.

The program is framed around four key student learning objectives: theory, toxicology, lab practice, and application. The GCC program has signers from across the world, including in Brazil, Canada, Germany, South Africa, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, among many others (check out our interactive map for more details). The full list of signers is included below, including links to their Who's Committed profile pages on the Beyond Benign website.

For more information about the GCC program, please refer to Beyond Benign's GCC program page for more details.

Community Ambassadors

Community Ambassadors work with Beyond Benign to help organize and spearhead a number of initiatives to support the GCC program. They include:

  • GCC Faculty Ambassadors: Work with Beyond Benign to help get the word out about the program and connect with other like-minded organizations and faculty members in the field to bring about greater change. Access GCC community ambassador resources here.
  • Green Chemistry Connections Co-hosts and Co-organizers: Collaborate with Beyond Benign staff, GCC faculty members, and the green chemistry community to organize themes, speakers, and discussions for the Green Chemistry Connections monthly meetings from October – May to connect the green chemistry globally in topics of interest to the audience.
  • Green Chemistry Workshops and Symposia: Collaborate with Beyond Benign staff, and GCC faculty members to create Green Chemistry workshops and symposia at regional and national meetings. Workshops and symposia can include topics on green chemistry and toxicology to facilitate further adoption of these concepts into chemistry courses and programs.
